Mr Antolik will join ORR from March 2015 and will be responsible for leading the highways monitoring function within ORR. He will advise on the design and implementation of the new regime for monitoring the performance and efficiency of Highways England. As part of this work, ORR will track the company's delivery of the strategic road network for road users and funders, and advise the Secretary of State for Transport on setting performance, delivery and efficiency targets for the business for five-year funding periods.
Mr Antolik is currently an Executive Director in the Infrastructure Investments Group at JPMorgan Asset Management. Prior to joining JPMorgan, he was Strategy and Regulation Director at Thames Water, having also held senior positions at Macquarie Bank, Barclays Funds and Andersen Consulting.
ORR chief executive Richard Price said:Peter has substantial expertise in establishing financial and performance regimes for network businesses and in making sure they deliver for their customers, which will be key in this role. As a member of the leadership team, Peter will also bring these commercial skills to the wider work of the ORR across the range of infrastructure providers we now regulate and monitor. - In April 2014, the Department for Transport set out plans to establish a new cost and efficiency monitoring function for England's strategic road network. ORR intends to publish a consultation on its strategic road network monitoring role in Spring 2015.
