In line with the Government's policy, we actively encourage and support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and third sector organisations to compete for our contracts. We aim to enhance SME participation through simplified procurement processes, ensuring prompt payment terms to support supplier cash flow and sustainability.
To support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), we will actively consider dividing open tender opportunities above £213,477 (including VAT) into smaller Lots. If we decide not to split the requirements, we will provide our reasons within the Invitation to Tender.
All open tenders that could appeal to SMEs will be clearly flagged. Tenders will be advertised electronically, and we will use Central Digital Platform to promote suitable contracts, ensuring transparency and accessibility for SMEs.
