Change to the ORR Board

ORR Non Executive Board Member, David Franks, has tendered his resignation with immediate effect having accepted a new role as CEO of Keolis Downer.

David is currently Chief Executive of Iarnrod Eireann (Irish Rail).

Keolis Downer is a joint venture company operating train and tram services in Australia.  Under ORR’s Board procedures, David’s new position would create conflicts of interest in many areas of ORR’s work.  It is with regret therefore that David has stepped down from the ORR Board.

ORR Board Chair, Stephen Glaister, has thanked David for his period on the Board and for his personal contribution during his 16-month tenure.
